Rivelon Elementary School’s Reading Patrol went out into the community with the purpose of providing books to families of students of the school. The Reading Patrol is comprised of faculty, staff and community members who are committed to ensuring that all students can read. There were four groups that went door to door, informing parents and students of the purpose of the Reading Patrol. Each family received a book for their home collections. The Patrol’s first visit was to St. Paul Apartments. The Patrol will go out into other parts of the Rivelon community throughout the 2013-14 school year.
