Each October schools across the United states celebrate Red Ribbon Week to bring awareness to and prevent alcohol, tobacco, and drug use and violence.
RED RIBBON WEEK ACTIVITIES
OCTOBER 23-27, 2017
Theme: “Your Future Is Key, So Stay Drug Free”
October 23rd, Monday
~ “Stay Ahead, Wear Red” Day -- Wear something RED
* Red Hot Hunt – List all the red things you see at school. Turn insheet at end of day for drawing. Persons with most red items listedwill receive a gift card.
* Decorate banners, posters, or signs for fitness walk onWednesday.
October 24th, Tuesday
~ “Shade Out Drugs” Day -- Wear favorite SHADES

* Tasty Tuesday – Taste a variety of fruits & vegetables duringlunch.
* Fall Picture Day- Students are allowed to wear regular clothingfor pictures.
October 25th, Wednesday
~ “Don’t Let Drugs Sneak Up On You” Day-- Wear your SNEAKERS

* Health & Fitness Event – Fitness walk & exercise activities willbegin @ 8:15. The Tiger Pep Squad will led walk. Visit coolingstation for refreshing cup of water.
October 26th, Thursday
~ “Sock It To Drugs” Day --- Wear wackiest, craziest, mix-matchSOCKS
*Everyone participating will receive a “Sock It To Me” Treat.

October 27th, Friday
~ “Halloween Hoopla” Day – Hula Hoop Contest
* Participate in a hula hoop contest during lunch time. Winners willreceive a hula hoop.
~ We encourage all students as well as faculty & staff to show yourschool spirit by participating in “theme day” activities planned forthe week to acknowledge that we are a “DRUG FREE” school.
